It's only appropriate...

Happy Halloween.....:) Since today's Halloween it's only appropriate to Blog about it....

Some people view Halloween as a day of death; others view it as a time to truly celebrate. Bring out the decorations, costumes, yummy treats and family. Does this sound a little like mmmmmm.....hmmmmmm A WEDDING! Yes, I think it could totally be a wedding. You don't have to be "goth" to be planning a Halloween Wedding, in fact their are several really cute ideas that go hand in hand with halloween and planning a wedding.

How about carving seating arrangement numbers into small pumpkins and filling them with tea lights or gutting a huge pumpkin-filling it with ice, and lacing it with beverages or engagement/bridal portraits in a pumpkin patch....STUNNING!

Go on...Don't be ordinary; think of special ways or perhaps DATES to make your wedding one to remember.

Landscaping your centerpieces...

The idea of landscaping on your wedding day may leave you with your eyebrow raised and wandering how this could possibly fit in. Well, I've got news for you...Landscaping your centerpieces is "IN" for 2010!
So lets explore this fantastic idea and see if it could work for you. For the longest time brides and florist have been using landscape ideas as part of their decor...Such as...

I know you're thinking "oh yeah, I've seen that before." Think cherry blossom limbs, magnolia branches, leaves and who could forget....pink and white dogwood branches, leaves. (Please remember you can't cut the NC State Flower unless it's on your land)

So this idea of landscaping your centerpieces isn't really all that far fetched. Brides everywhere are looking for ways to be unique; and this may be just the way to do it. Moss, trees and potted herbs are going to be making an appearance in 2o10 as reception centerpieces and decor. Try asking your local nursery if you could borrow the trees, shrubs, limbs or/and potted herbs for a reduced fee if you return it the day after. Alot of nurseries will allow this and it could save you tons off the budget

Beans Anyone....?

So, I'm sitting here watching a little bit of the news; having a delicious cup of coffee laced with a little sprinkle of apple pie spice and it hits me..., Coffee Beans as an accent.

This time of year is the perfect time to cozy up with a warm cup of coffee. Even the aroma of coffee sends most people to that warm place of fire, family, and comfort. Why not bring that ambiance into your wedding, after all what a wonderful way to make people feel right at home.

You can purchase cheap coffee beans for displays at the grocery store and let them lend accents to your floral arrangements, around your wedding cake and around your food displays.

For a favor, picture this...
Only let's fill them with different flavors of coffee beans or grounds and label them accordingly. Add a bow that ties into your wedding palette and voila...The perfect wedding favor.

Perfect Fall Wedding Favor...

B' Sweet Events prides itself on being the most innovative in ideas and creativity... well we've got a spectacular idea on a fall wedding favor that could last you all year.

Last Halloween, I made some fun candy apples for the trick o' treaters that frequent my home. I had a variety decorated with caramel and chocolate; then sprinkled with baby m&m's, reeses pieces and chopped up candy bars. To my surprise they were loved not only by the kids but by the parents as well. I wrapped them in the clear celephane paper, you know..The kind that krinkles! I then tied ribbon around each and curled the ends.

Ding!!!!! What a fantastic idea for a wedding favor...These are def. something you could do in your own kitchen and HELLO...It's apple season! If it's too much for you, outsource some of these to your close family members and print tags with "our family to yours" with the preparers name as the signature. You can buy apples in bulk, I would recommend granny smith and you can buy candy apple kits at walmart!

TIP: after coating the apples in chocolate or caramel, put in the freezer for just a min. Place the candy pieces on the apples and return to freezer. If you don't do this the candy will slide down the apples-all to the bottom...Still delicious!:)
